Some housekeeping items!

  • START TIMES! Very important, because there’s a couple we listed incorrectly on the criteria sheet:
    • 100 milers start on Saturday at 5:45 a.m. WITH the 75 milers.
    • LD on Saturday starts at 10 a.m.
    • LD on Sunday starts at 8 a.m.
    • All other start times are correct.
  • Remember to keep your dogs safely contained. Please don’t make Ride management be the dog police! Nobody likes their hay bales getting tinkled on by your sweet dog. also, no one likes their leashed dog being intimidated by your rambunctious, happy dog barreling up to them wanting to play.
  • Please spread your manure and hay before leaving! Weed seed Free Hay is not required, but spreading your leftover hay out is!
  • If your horse digs a hole, please fill it! You are going to be on soft sandy soil so it is not difficult to fill those holes! Borrow a rake if necessary.
  • Please utilize the showers and food truck! They’re here for you!
  • One important thing that we really want to iterate is that if you have an issue with any person under the age of 18, you will be expected to take that issue up with their parent and ride management. If you are unfamiliar with SafeSport guidelines, please visit the SafeSport website. If you have questions about SafeSport, please chat with Carol Giles.
  • And always, always remember our ride mission statement:
    • We welcome everyone into our endurance/distance riding community, without regard to race, gender, age, color, national origin, ethnic background, socioeconomic status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identityor endurance/distance riding organization affiliation.”
    • Your potential intolerance will not be tolerated. Don’t care for someone? Park elsewhere. You’re camping in a huge ridecamp. Kindness for the win.
  • Cheer everyone on for Darlene, because she’s got the FOMO. 😉

Have a great ride weekend, everyone!
