As we are ramping up our efforts into this year’s ride, we are very much thinking of the 2024 AERC National Championship rides that we’ll be hosting at this venue. With that in mind, we are working on the logistics angle regarding the venue.
We’d like to change our vetting area around this year, and that will require some dedicated volunteers in camp to help things move smoothly.
We will also likely need a few gate guards since our trails go through government leased grazing areas on USFS and BLM lands. In an effort to maintain good relationships with those agencies, AND the ranchers holding the leases, we work hard to have the affected gates manned while riders are on those loops.
In addition, we’ll need some volunteers to help out at the out vet checks, keeping things running smoothly out there.
What’s in it for you? We feed our volunteers very well! We will have an area lined out for the volunteers to park, unless they prefer to camp among the riders, which is a great way to meet new people! We will also be providing T-shirts for our volunteers.
