Our numbers are such that we’ll be able to offer both days of competition, thus far! Thank you all for entering early!
Please remember!! The AERC ride will be held on August 29, 2020 and the EDRA ride will be held on August 30, 2020. Please plan accordingly!
Thus far, Lake County, Oregon, where the Mary and Anna Memorial Ride happens, is open for business, allowing our recreational events to happen, while observing social distancing guidelines. We will be publishing our guidelines soon so everyone can be prepared properly.
At this time we have twelve AERC 100 milers and six AERC 75 milers on Saturday. There are four EDRA 75 milers signed up for Sunday.
Also remember, there won’t be any entries allowed “day of”. You must pre-enter to ride the rides this year. Sorry, it’s a COVID 2020 thing. You can still enter, however. Several spots are open on the EDRA day, August 30, and there are 7 spots left open on the AERC day, August 29. If you still wish to enter, please visit our “Online Entries” page and fill out the form. If you have questions, you can fill the contact form and get in touch with one of us.
Max and I have long wanted to “bring the two sides together” , AERC and EDRA. It just seems like sometimes one just have to make the leap. After some very divisive years in the NW region, it felt important to include ALL to our ride camps. Then 2020 happened. COVID-19 has thrown some major wrenches into riders’ plans this season. In line with current events, we wish to let our riders know that our rides are open to all, with thankful hearts. We want our riders to show up with a “Be Kind Humans” attitude and welcome others, no matter their organization affiliation. As ride managers with over a decade of experience managing rides, and over two decades of distance riding, it’s very important to us to be as outspokenly inclusive to all, as possible.
We invite everyone into our endurance/distance riding community, without regard to race, gender, age, color, national origin, ethnic background, socioeconomic status, marital status, sexual orientation or gender identity.
**We are currently enroute to the Bighorn 100 ride, out in Wyoming, and our Ride Secretary, Shawna Bowin, is preparing for the Santiam Cascade ride in Central Oregon. If you don’t hear back right away, please don’t worry. We’ll get to you as soon as possible.
