Ride Managers, Jennifer and Carol, have already spent a few days out scoping out the trails for the 2024 Mary & Anna Memorial Ride! A wildfire swept through the area where the out vet check is located on the Willow Butte Loop. The USFS has determined that we will not be allowed to use our favorite loop this year, so Jennifer and Carol have been hard at it, with the help of Jala Neufeld, who is not only the photographer for the ride, but also the PNER expert on Ride with GPS. She has been a tremendous help in lining out some new loops for the ride to utilize. Anyone who is familiar with this sort of deal knows that one can line out a trail “on paper”, but then the trail must be “ground trued” to make sure it is the correct distance, and is navigable by horse and rider! The trails are coming together, and will offer returning riders some new views to enjoy!
Jennifer really digs her work as a ride manager! She dives into this “job” with an enthusiasm that she could have only inherited from her Ammi, Anna.

We will be posting some “housekeeping” items in the near future, but you can rest assured that preparations for the ride are in full swing. You still have plenty of time to enter the ride!
There will be a food truck again, so please plan to support them! This truck is a “taco truck”, but they have a diverse menu, with a little bit of something for everyone!
