8/26/2020-UPDATE ~ Mary and Anna Memorial Ride

Wednesday is here! The rides are quickly approaching! Here are some updates for everyone.

Some folks will be arriving in camp today/tonight. Look for Lois Fox or Carol Giles. They have a current list of pen assignments. Carol is marking the pens today. PLEASE park sensibly! Use as little space as possible so we can make sure there’s room for everyone.

95% of the trails are marked and ready to go. There is a minor change in the trail on the Ft Rock Loop (75’s and 100’s will be the only ones to see this trail). This is due to a large amount of cows in one area of the trail. Max scouted the reroute today and already has it marked. It will be WELL signed, so no worries there. He will cover this in the Long Distance Rider’s trail meeting on Friday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. The new trail with the reroute is on our Ride with GPS account, and active now. Long distance riders: Your hold times have changed! Please download the latest sheet of “Loops, colors and holds” from the rider’s packet. Contact me with any questions.

Rider packets went out in the email last night. If you didn’t receive yours, please contact us as soon as possible with your email address and we’ll get one sent right away. (sabowin@yahoo.com or endrncrider@gmail.com).

Air quality has been pretty good near Ft Rock. Sounds like it gets a bit smoky in the afternoons but is quite clear and nice during most of the day, as reported by both Carol Giles and Max Merlich. The sunsets are beautiful!

Ride camp, Weds morning

That’s it for now, more later!
